Biography

Anna Ósk Erlingsdóttir is an Icelandic photographer specializing in contemporary portrait, fashion and art photography. Growing up in a small village in Iceland built her character and imagination, both of which came in handy as she entered the world of photography. She was born in her grandparents’ homestead in a small village in Iceland called Sandgerði. Her work has been exhibited in galleries such as The National Portrait Gallery in Australia, Reykjavik Museum of Photography, Malta Fashion week and The international Festival of Fashion Photography in Cannes. She published a book called Enigma in 2016. Travelling widely, she has previously lived in Australia, America, Sweden and Norway. She currently resides in Gothenburg, Sweden.

" When my students ask me what gear I use, I reply it's not about the gear it's all about the feeling you get when looking at the photo". The viewer should be transferred to another world, sucked into a dialogue that you create. Having a vivid imagination in this business is just as important as technical skills, in my opinion.
